1.4 Create AWS Workshop Account

Your account must have the ability to create new IAM roles and scope other IAM permissions.

Create an account

Once you have an AWS account, ensure you are following the remaining workshop steps as an IAM user with administrator access to the AWS account

Deep link: to IAM Console

Create User

  1. Enter the user details:
    • Set you Access type to allow Programmatic access and Console access
    • Select Custom password and note it!

Attach Policy

  1. Attach the AdministratorAccess IAM Policy:

    • Click Next:Tags then Next: Review

Confirm User

  1. Click to create the new user:

Login URL

  1. Click Show Access Key

  2. Click Show Secret Key

  3. Click Download .csv to save the credentials to your workstation
